The Transpersonal Hypnotherapy NLP Certification Courses offered by the Institute for Therapeutic Learning (ITL) in the Greater Seattle, Washington area have had an excellent reputation with an international student body since 1988. Live trainings in Seattle and London are no longer offered due to my High Risk Status with COVID-19.
As of May 2020, Washington State has authorized the Institute for Therapeutic Learning to offer Virtual Online Certification Trainings.
We are offering special tuition discounts to provide greater accessibility to these trainings. Read on for details.
Two Distance Learning options replace our annual Live Trainings with Jack Elias:
- Distance Learning (DL) Certification has a proven track record and it is always available online! You can begin at any time. Tuition is $3265.00
- Distance Learning (DL) Certification plus recorded Zoom classroom videos. In 2020 the Zoom classroom was offered for the first time due to COVID-19. The DL Certification course tuition, including Zoom classroom videos, is $4265.00.
Distance Learning (Independent Study) This option continues to be available to anyone seeking Transpersonal Hypnotherapy NLP certification.

The basic text for our trainings is Finding True Magic: Transpersonal Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy/NLP by Jack Elias, CHT, Founder and Director of the Institute for Therapeutic Learning. The book has received enthusiastic reviews from medical doctors and clinical psychologists, as well as esteemed members of the hypnotherapy/NLP professional community.
Finding True Magic is used by many schools throughout the United States in their advanced course offerings, as well as in the Institute’s own’s hypnotherapy certification trainings.
The Master Track
Recommended for students interested in making hypnotherapy their career: 350 hours of certification training.
- You may complete the 350 hours of training by taking the 150 hour Distance Learning (independent study) Option, with the 200 hour Virtual Distance Learning Option (includes recorded Zoom classroom videos).
- After completing one of the above options, we can also create specialized additional certification options from other FTM programs for your second step.
- CEUs are available for all certified and non-certified programs. All of our programs are conveniently available online and downloadable.
You can train one step at a time. After first completing either the 150 hour, or 200 hour option, we will explore together the best option forward for you for advanced certification. .
When you invest in the Finding True Magic 350-hour Master Certification Course, you will complete 150 hours in virtual training (regular tuition $3265) then 200 hours using study options from the FTM library of recorded trainings.
The total cost for 350 hours of instruction will depend on which specific options you choose.

These trainings were originally designed to provide Transpersonal Hypnotherapy/NLP Certification. Certification training includes personal homework and test assessments as well as personal tutorials with Jack Elias, CHT.
In addition to the Certification Option, the Institute for Therapeutic Learning also offers a Non-certification Option. The Non-certification Option consists solely of personal study with the Finding True Magic Distance Learning (Independent Study) Online Course.
